Project Update – week of 6/10/2024

Five community focus group meetings and a community meeting were held May 14 – 16. The focus groups were intended to hear from various representative members of the greater Oak Park community and included: non-profit organizations representatives, government and civic leaders, affiliate sports group representatives and others.

On May 15th an evening community meeting was held at the Cheney Mansion inviting the community to learn about the planning effort. It also provided a variety of stations at which attendees could share their opinions and perspectives in response to questions that will help inform the process.

A Parks and Recreation Provider Network luncheon was hosted on May 16th affording an opportunity for area providers to gather and discuss partnership opportunities intended to reduce duplication and best use collective community resources.

We would like to hear from you!
